It’s crazy that it’s already been a month since Emiliana was born. One month with the most perfect, sweetest little girl. This month has been such a crazy ride. NEWBORNS ARE NO JOKE.
We have been fortunate enough to have amazing mothers who took time out of their own lives to come help us during this time of transitioning into parenthood. My mom stayed with us the first half and then Dylan’s mom came and stayed with us for the second half. I cannot express how helpful it was/is to have them. They helped with cooking, cleaning and watching the baby so I can sleep. Giving advice and guidance to help us be the best parents to our baby girl. Thank you so much moms for everything you do! We love you so much!
Dylan was able to take some time off of work to get that initial bonding with Emiliana and we had a wonderful week as a new little family.
Emiliana truly is so perfect! So sweet! So loving! I couldn’t ask for a better baby. She loves sleeping, A LOT! Of course she’s still a newborn and I would expect nothing less. When she is awake, she is so alert! She is so strong and likes to hold her head up and try to stand up or sit up. On the first time we did tummy time with her, she figured out how to roll over and got out of tummy time all on her own, at only a couple days old!
Emiliana recently discovered a love for a cozy blanket, and the second we wrap her up in it she calms down so quickly. We also decided to give her a pacifier a couple days ago, she’s still getting used to it. Sometimes she becomes frustrated because she is still expecting milk to come out but once she gets over it she is happy.
She has had 2 doctor appointments and our little girl grew! She was born at 6 lbs 10 oz. At her first appointment she weighed in at 6 lbs 11 oz.. At her second appointment she was at 7 lbs 7 oz., she sure does like her milk!
I have loved this past month, being a mom and getting to spend all my time with my sweet little Emiliana. She has grown so much in this month and I wish she would stay tiny forever but I am so excited for all the stages to come and to see how she looks when she grows up!
Also my phone is filled with pictures of this little girl, so please enjoy these pictures of our little Emiliana.
