This past weekend we celebrated Dylan’s 26th birthday! We celebrated by going to dinner and then going to the movies to watch Venom, which was a great movie! If you haven’t seen it, you really should! On Saturday we watched General Conference, which for those of you who don’t know it is a broadcast for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where we listen to the leaders of the church give guidance to members and the world. Afterward, we went out and got boba at our new favorite boba place, Kung Fu Tea, came back home and watched movies. The change of the season has lead to some pretty bad allergies on the Howard house (Dylan hasn’t been able to move for days now) so outdoor activities are limited for the time being. On Sunday, we watched more of General Conference and we ate birthday cake. While it wasn’t the extravagant weekend I had planned for him, He still enjoyed it and we get to use his birthday present another time. I got him the CityGo Pass Las Vegas, and it’s a great idea for a gift, they have plenty of other cities and options to fit your budget or needs. We are excited to get to explore more of Las Vegas with this pass!
My dad’s birthday was also this weekend so there was a lot to celebrate going on. Unfortunately, my dad is in Texas so we couldn’t celebrate with him but I know he had a great birthday weekend as well!
Typically I struggle to come up with good ideas for gifts. If I’m being 100% honest I am the worst at gift giving. Dylan honestly doesn’t need much to make him happy, but he does like effort, so even if it’s something small he is happy! Although this year, he got spoiled! I know gift giving shouldn’t be necessary, but everyone deserved to feel special. So, I’ve decided to improve in this area and spent the last few weeks building a list of gift ideas that work for all the guys in my life, and hopefully it gives you some direction if you are stuck on a gift idea for “him”, whether that be a husband, boyfriend, dad, brother or just friend.

One birthday I’ll never forget Donny got rid of all the kids I didn’t know, I have been out working in the yard so I didn’t even know he left When I came back in rose petals were all along the kitchen floor leading into the bathroom where he had a tub filled with bubbles and rose petals and candles when I got done with the bath he laid out one of my best dresses he was all dressed up ina suit, I came out to the kitchen and he had candles lit everywhere and a beautiful big candle lit dinner With appetizers and dessert he completely took care of me. to me it was one of the funnest birthdays I had ever had no present needed!
